This building (then Holiday Inn, now Jen Hotel) is located in Ameeru Ahmed Magu, Male, Maldives. It was one of the first building which had displacement steel piles for its foundation. During the piling works, surrounding buildings had to be monitored for exposure of vibration. Seismographs were installed on buildings and continuous reading were recoded. The readings compared with with application standards for exposure of buildings to ground vibrations. Civeng carried out consultancy and monitoring during construction of foundation.
